The short version
The signature is the other end of the dial from the not-self theme: the specific feeling that recurs when you're living your design. Where the not-self theme says something upstream went wrong, the signature says the experiment is working — strategy honoured, authority consulted, energy spent where it belonged.
It's worth noticing what the signatures are not. None of them is happiness, and none is excitement. They're quieter, more durable states — the kind of feeling you notice at the end of a day rather than in the middle of a moment. The system chose its words carefully.
The four signatures
For Generators and Manifesting Generators, the signature is satisfaction — the deep, tired-but-full feeling of a day spent on work the gut actually said yes to; used up at night, replenished by morning. For Manifestors it's peace: moving through the day without friction, acting and having the world adjust rather than resist.
For Projectors the signature is success — being recognised and used well, guidance asked for and landing, limited energy respected and spent where it counts. For Reflectors it's surprise: the lightness and wonder of days that unfold with unexpected delight, the reward of right place, right people, lunar pace.
Each signature is the felt confirmation of its type's mechanics working. Satisfaction confirms the Sacral was asked and answered; peace confirms informing cleared the runway; success confirms the invitations were real; surprise confirms the environment is healthy.
A byproduct, not a target
Here's the trap: the moment you chase your signature directly, you've usually left your design. Satisfaction can't be pursued — it's what's left over when a Generator responds honestly and works to the end of its energy. Success hunted for its own sake tends to produce the Projector's bitterness instead, because hunting isn't waiting for the invitation.
So the signature works best as an instrument reading, not a destination. Check it the way you'd check a compass: is satisfaction, peace, success, or surprise the background note of my weeks lately? If yes, keep going. If the not-self theme has taken its place, look upstream at strategy and authority. Two feelings, one dial — and between them, most of what the system has to say about whether your life currently fits you.
